OREANDA-NEWS. November 1, 2010. As part of visit to the Republic of Korea, JSC FGC UES delegation headed by the Chairman of the Management Board Oleg Budargin took part in Russian-Korean seminar on modernization of Russian Economy. The delegation included the First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Alexandr Bobrov and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Roman Berdnikov. A development of business relations between two countries and prospectives for realization of joint projects were discussed at the event.

The seminar which took place in Seoul was organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Republic of Korea together with Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, there were delegates from government bodies, political and business circles of both countries. Before the conference Oleg Budargin took part in negotiations between heads of largest Russian and Korean companies. The meeting was conducted by Akradiy Dvorkovich, Assistant to the President of Russia, perspectives and possibilities of Russian-Korean economic cooperation were discussed.

Within the seminar a deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC FGC UES Roman Berdnikov reported on the topic “Modernization and innovative development – a platform for power-effective economy”. In particular, he told about a modernization program implemented by FGC UES, main innovative projects performed as part of R&D, implementation of power effectiveness porgram in FGC UES.

A visit FGC UES delegation to the Republic of Korea will last until October, 16. The program includes meetings and negotiations with the management of Hyundai, inspection of plant’s production capacities – a power equipment manufacturer, Hyosung, and visits to various energy power objects.
