OREANDA-NEWS. November 01, 2010. Bukhoro Gilam JV stopped the procurement of raw material acrylic yarn from abroad. The company commissioned its plant for production of the yarn with capacity of 1.8 tons per year. The plant provided about 100 workers with job and was equipped with modern technology with financial assistance of Agrobank.

“The production of domestic acrylic yarn will save million USD a year,” said the executive director of the JV Atabek Babayev. “Excess production is shipped to the similar enterprises within the country.”

JV Buhoro Gilam receives necessary nitronic fiber for the production of acrylic fiber from Navoiazot Company. Cooperation between enterprises has been established at the International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange in 2009. At that event, carpet manufacturers signed a contract with Navoi partners to supply nitronic fiber worth 3.6 billion soums.

The International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange in previous years gathered the enterprises of textile and light industry, and this time the number of participants will expand to other industries.

According to Bukhara regional administration, among the companies which will participate in this year’s fair are such business entities as JV Gufik-Avicenna, producer of medicine, JV Halimabegim Omad of hygiene and perfumery products and Makma LLC, which conducts activities in construction industry.
