OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2010. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Leonid Melamed, CEO of the Sistema Joint Stock Corporation in his residence in Serdar.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the head of the Russian company congratulated the leader of the Turkmen state on the 19th anniversary of independence celebrated widely in the country.

Expressing the hearty wishes of good health and every success in his versatile activity for the benefit of the Turkmen people to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the guest expressed belief that Turkmenistan would continue to move forward along the path of fundamental reforms and changes.

Noting that Russian companies as well as the international business community showed intense interest in the very promising Turkmen market, the business focused on the intention of the Sistemy JSC to expand mutually advantageous with Turkmenistan’s partners.

During the meeting President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his guest discussed the progress in implementing joint projects as well as new opportunities opened up today to enhance partnership in the communication, telecommunication and other sectors. In this context the Russian businessman informed of the intention to contribute actively to implementing wide-ranging reforms initiated by the Turkmen leader to promote the progress of the country. In particular, the CEO of Sistemy JSC emphasized that the Corporation stood ready to offer its expertise and technology innovations in various sectors.

Emphasizing that Turkmenistan put forth much effort to apply innovations in all sectors of the national economy, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that cooperation with the largest Russian corporation specializing in high tech industry was deemed quite promising.

In conclusion L. Melamed emphasized that he had been positively amazed at the new wonderful architectural appearance of the rapidly developing capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, which became a visible symbol of dynamic socioeconomic changes taking place in the Turkmen state under the leadership of the national leader.
