OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2010. The Ingosstrakh branch in Arkhangelsk revealed the theft of the company’s cash by the branch ex-employee during entering into the auto insurance contracts.

During the investigation the Ingosstrakh Analysis and Information Protection Department employees stated that the employee of the Ingosstrakh branch in Arkhangelsk M.A Chegodayev, whose duties included entering into auto insurance contracts with legal entities and individuals and receiving insurance premiums from them, appropriated the money. The insurance premium under the auto insurance contracts in the amount of 24,525 rubles was received by him in April 2009 and was not contributed to the insurer’s cash office.

It was stated that M.A. Chegodayev during entering into insurance contracts issued the insurants a policy but did not take the money and the payment receipts to the cash office. The law enforcement authorities of Arkhangelsk initiated the criminal case for the offence specified in part 1, art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, stealing of other people's property entrusted to the convicted person.

Criminal case investigation ended in a judgment of conviction. Besides the court satisfied the insurer’s civil claim for collection of money in the amount of 24.525 rubles from the convicted M.A. Chegodayev.
