Moldova Wants to Activate Cooperation with Hungary
OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2010. This was announced by Prime Minister of Moldova Vladimir Filat in the course of the meeting in Chisinau with his Hungarian counterpart Victor Orban, paying an official visit to Moldova. Moldavian Premier proposed to organize a forum of business people of Moldova and Hungary in the first half a year of 2011.
He emphasized the dynamic development of Moldavian-Hungarian relations, noting the importance of joint declaration of the two countries on collaboration in the field of European integration, work of the Common Application Center under the Embassy of Hungary in Chisinau. Vladimir Filat emphasized the importance of Victor Orban visit to Moldova in the context of Hungarian chairmanship in EU from January 1, 2011.
Speaking at the briefing, Vladimir Filat expressed confidence that in this period Moldova would manage to quicken the process of European integration, achieve considerable progress in visa liberalization and start negotiations on joining the Single European Sky.
He emphasized that Hungary rendered a methodological assistance to Moldova to train the Moldavian experts, involved in negotiations with EU on Agreement on Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Zone. Vladimir Filat appreciated highly constant Hungarian support in attainment of European integration purposes, thanked the authorities of this country for assistance in overcoming the consequences of this summer floods.
Victor Orban said that Hungary was ready to share the accumulated experience in the process of European Integration with Moldova and support it in the frame of EU. He emphasized that Hungary in the period of its chairmanship in EU would do its best to complete negotiations on visa liberalization for Moldavian citizens as soon as possible.
