ROSNO Pays Over 1,7 mn Roubles for Burnt-Out Harvester
OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2010. ROSNO has paid insurance compensation in the amount of 1,753,280 roubles for the Ponsse Engo HS 16 harvester, which burned down during logging operations in the Republic of Karelia, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.
The harvester — a multioperation logging vehicle — was operated on the basis of temporary use and possession under the leasing agreement by the enterprise performing logging works in Pryazhinsky didtrict, Karelia. The vehicle caught fire during the work shift.
According to the conclusion by experts of the test fire laboratory, the most probable reason for the fire was the harvester’s technical malfunction. Investigation bodies issued a resolution refusing opening of criminal charges.
The authorized distributor of the vehicle manufacturer has issued a conclusion confirming irreparability and impossibility of further operation of the Ponsse Engo HS 16 in accordance with its intended functional purpose.
This event was recognized as an insured accident, and ROSNO remitted the amount of insurance compensation to the current account of a leasing company — insurant.
