OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2010. The Council of Ministers has inked resolution #1387 to grant the four Belarusian sugar refineries (based in Gorodeya, Skidel, Slootsk and Zhabinka) the exclusive right to export sugar in the period October 1, 2010 through April 1, 2011.

The document thus bans unsanctioned export of white sugar.

In 2010, Belarus is expected to supply 150,000 tonnes of white sugar to Russia.
