IMF Forecasts CPI Growth in Azerbaijan up to 6%
OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2010. The International Monetary Fund continues to insist on growth of consumer price index (CPI) in Azerbaijan.
According to Fund’s Regional Economic Outlook: Middle East and Central Asia, in 2011 Azerbaijan’s CPI will increase up to 6% against expected level of 5.5% in 2010. For comparison, in 2009 inflation in Russia made up 1.5%.
IMF’s forecasts are higher than Azerbaijani government’s ones by 0.5-0.8% on average.
