OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2010. Uzbekinvest Company has taken part in annual autumn session of the Prague Club of the Bern union of insurers of credits and investments of Central and the Eastern Europe and at a seminar on factoring of export credits in Zagreb, Croatia. Presentations of representatives of leading export-credit agencies (ECA) and the international organisations, have been presented by participants during session, in particular, taking up such questions as: tendencies in the market of insurance of export credits, including to actions of RCA in the conditions of world financial crisis (introduction of new insurance products, toughening of underwriting, cancellation of operating credit limits), consideration of claims in the presence of bank guarantees and disputes between the insurer, bank and the guarantor. Along with it, representatives of leading ECA and the international organisations had discussed results of activity of members of the Bern union and the Prague club for 2009 in the light of influence of world financial crisis on activity of ECA. It was noticed, that in the given period many ECA have taken measures on introduction of new insurance products, toughening of underwriting, cancellation of operating credit limits in the conditions of world financial crisis. According to representatives of ECA in 2010 revival and lifting in the market of insurance of export credits is expected. Within the limits of session discussions on a theme “Changes in business realisation” and “Sales of credit insurance after crisis” were also discussed. The offer on creation of the reinsurance pool were examined, participants of which will become members of the Prague club at possible participation of external reinsures. At the first stage it was offered to communicate on practice of reinsurance at various members of the Prague club. Company participation on the given action promotes to use the unified approaches to underwriting, accepted in the international practice, an estimation of losses, settlement of losses in such difficult type of insurance as insurance of export credits and investments. Within the limits of participation Uzbekinvest company at autumn session of the Prague club meetings and separate negotiations with representatives Beleximgarant, KREDEX (Estonia) and others foreign ECA on the general questions of cooperation and an exchange of experience in area of short-term insurance have been held.
