OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2010. In January-September 2010 volume of industrial output in Transdniestria amounted to USD 568,2 million, increasing by 13,7% as compared to the same period of 2009. According to the regional Ministry of Economy, in the electric power industry of Transdniestria the volume of production output in January-September 2010 increased by 0,8% - up to USD 208,8 million as compared to the same period of the last year.

The production in the iron industry increased by 23,2% - up to USD 142,03 million, in light industry – by 29% - up to USD 76,6 million. The output in food industry in Transdniestria in January-September 2010 increased by 7,5% - up to USD 63,8 million as compared to the same period of 2009.

In mechanical engineering and metal working sector the production output in January-September 2010 increased by 75,2% - up to USD 33,5 million, in flour-cereal and mixed fodder industry – by 18,6% - up to USD 7,4 million. In printing industry the production volume increased by 13,1% - up to USD 2,8 million. At the same time, the production output in construction materials industry decreased by 5,8% - up to USD 25,2 million.
