JV Lanekstrakt Reports on Its Activity
OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2010. The number of the subjects of production and joint ventures are spreading thanks to the country’s economic reforms, which plays an important role in improving welfare and employment of the population.
The products worth USD 2 million are produced and exported a year in the Uzbek-Chinese joint venture “Lanekstrakt”, founded with foreign partners in Chimbay region of Karakalpakstan. The company recycles growing medicinal plants in the Aral Sea region and produces glycerin, commonly used in food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
“The main part of the production is exported,” said the executive director of the joint venture Marat Ganiyev. “Competitive products are produced on the basis of modern equipments. Two hundred jobs are created at the expense of USD 3 million USD investment. The majority of the employees are graduates of vocational colleges of the area.
