Mobile TeleSystems OJSC ("MTS" — NYSE: MBT), the leading telecommunications provider in Russia and the CIS, SITRONICS Information Technologies, one of the largest system integrators in Eastern Europe, and the insurance group ROSNO have announced the start of their cooperation in promoting navigation information services among ROSNO’s corporate clients. As a result of this cooperation, ROSNO’s corporate clients will be able to activate NIKA service to locate their vehicles and save up to 50% of the cost of insurance coverage against the risk of theft, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

In line with the corporate sector’s general trend towards cost reduction, ROSNO is launching a new discount program covering the risk of theft to optimize motor fleet maintenance costs. This program has been established in cooperation with SITRONICS IT and Mobile TeleSystems — developers of the navigation information service NIKA whereunder vehicles are equipped with GPS/GLONASS/GSM subscriber terminals transferring to the NIKA server the precise data such as vehicle location, routes, vehicle status, mileage and fuel consumption for any reporting period. Flexible adjustment enables supplementing the report with such data as mileage, vehicle location addresses, geozones passed, time spent on the route, distance and other parameters, in order to compare those with the adopted norms.

The corporate clients who equip their motor fleets with NIKA navigation systems will qualify for ROSNO discount program providing a discount of up to 50% under the risk of theft. NIKA enables precise location of any vehicle and assessment of a number of other vehicle parameters. Thus, along with decreasing operating costs, ROSNO’s corporate client will also be able to save on insurance service charges.
