OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2010. The Head of the Moscow Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) Vladimir Yefimov and the Chairman of the Moscow City Committee for Public Services Alexei Stepanov signed an Agreement about effective cooperation within their scope of reference, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The purpose of the Agreement is to enhance efficiency of the work of the two bodies, optimize the scope of their reference to avoid function overlapping, and tighten control over charges imposed upon consumers of public services.

Based on the Agreement, the Moscow City Committee for Public Services will report the facts of violations of the law of the Russian Federation, revealed in course of inspections, expert assessments and analytical research, to Moscow OFAS Russia and forward the findings of its analysis of law enforcement practice within the Committee’s scope of reference.

In its turn, Moscow OFAS Russia will inform the Moscow City Committee for Public Services about the outcome of its activities affecting the work of Committee.

“I am convinced that the Agreement will facilitate mutual expert assistance and consultations”, pointed out the Head of the Moscow Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) Vladimir Yefimov. “Joint actions will improve the work of our bodies aimed at preventing and eliminating antimonopoly violations. It will also help us considerably decrease administrative barriers associated with the work of Moscow authorities”.
