OREANDA-NEWS. October 19, 2010. Total amount of credit investments to Azerbaijani economy made 8788,6 million manat. As compared with the same period of last year this indicator increased by 15,2%. 423,7 million manat of credit investments fell to the share of past-due loans. 29,8% of the credits or 2620,1 million manat were granted into home industry, reported the press-centre of CBA.

The volume of credits directed at trade and services equaled to 2041,2 million manat (23,2%). 441,0 million manat (5,0%) fell to the share of transport and communication, 645,7 million manat (7,3%) to the share of industry and production.

1078,0 million manat or 12,3% were granted to energy, chemistry and national resources, 415,3 million manat or 4,7% to the agriculture and processing, 610,0 million manat (7,3%) to construction and property, 53,8 million manat or 0,6% directed to other spheres.

As of 1 September 2010 2445,8 million manat (27,8%) of loans were short-term loans, 6342,7 million manat (72,2%) long-term loans. 188,4 million manat of short-term loans or 7,7%, 235,3 million manat or 3,7% of long-term loans are past-due loans.

Loans invested into economy by the state bank equaled to 3865,8 million manat (44,0%), by private banks 4740,6 million manat (53,9%), by non-bank credit institutions to 182,2 million manat (2,1%).

Banks operating through foreign capital invested 2184,6 million manats to Azerbaijani economy, so the total weight of their credit investments equal to 24,9%. The banks using 100% of foreign capital granted 462,6 million (5,3%) to loans. 5448,7 million manat or 62,0% of credits were issued in national currency, 3339,9 million manat or 38,0% in foreign currency.
