OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2010. The State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan has approved  two new cement quality standards.

The  State Committee informed, standards AZS EN 413-2-2010 “Test methods: plaster and laying cement, II part”, AZS ISO 29581-2-2010 “Methods of cement testing, II part: chemical analysis by  radioscopy method” will come into force from November 1.

Standard AZS EN 413-2-2010 concerns tests of water resistance of new cement grout consistence and should be applied for definition of etalons and alternative test methods of evaluation of conformity to  laying  cement standard EN 413-1. When disputable moments emerge, it is necessary to use etalon methods. The standard defines general requirements to tests, preparation of standard cement grout, waterproofing quality and so on.

State standard  AZS ISO 29581-2-2010 reflects the activity,  based on a method of chemical cement analysis for SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, SO3, K2O, Na2O, TiO2, P2O5, Mn2O3, SrO, Cl and Br by using radioscopy.

Both standards were worked out with participation of specialists of CIMEX and Garadagh Cement.
