OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2010. The Turkish Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. Nihat Ergun attended Petkim petrochemical complex and met with the Company’s representatives within his visit to Izmir. Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ergun stated that Petkim is a symbol of the Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood and noted that investment plans of the complex are closely followed.

Mr. Kenan Yavuz, CEO of Socar-Turcas Group and member of Petkim Board of Directors, spoke about the investment plans of the major petrochemical complex. According to him, investments serve for the development of Turkish petrochemical complex and country economy. He also mentioned that cutting-edge technology is used in expansion of local production. Besides, governor-general of Izmir Mr. Mustafa Jahit Kirach, head of Aliagha municipality Mr. Turgut Oghuz, and other officials attended the petrochemical complex.
