OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2010. The II Scientific-Practical Youth Conference “New technologies in gas industry: experience and succession” started its work within the premises of Gazprom VNIIGAZ.

The Conference is organized by the Council of young scientists and specialists of Gazprom VNIIGAZ, supported by the HR Department.

The Conference brought together about 150 young scientists and specialists from 33 organizations, including Gazprom companies: Branch of Gazprom VNIIGAZ in Ukhta, Gazprom dobycha Nadym, Gazprom dobycha Urengoy, Gazprom dobycha Yamburg, Gazprom dobycha Astrakhan, Gazprom UGS, Gazprom neft, Gazprom export, Gazprom promgaz, Gazprom dobycha Orenburg, Gazprom transgaz Kuban, Podzemgazprom and Russian oil and gas institutes: Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Ukhta State Technical University, Puschino State University, Astrakhan State Technical University, Grozny State Petroleum Institute named after M.D. Millionschikov, Kuban State Technological University, etc.  

Honorary guests of the Conference included: I.R. Badryzlova, chief technologist of the Innovation Development Division of the Strategic Development Department of Gazprom, O.V. Levkovskaya, chief specialist of HR Division of HR Department of Gazprom and O.A. Petrusenko, chief specialist of the Division of cooperation with subsidiary organizations of HR Department of Gazprom.

The purpose of the Conference is to attract attention of young scientists and specialists to pressing scientific and industrial challenges of Gazprom, to exchange experience and knowledge, establish efficient cooperation between young scientists of different oil and gas organizations.

The Conference was opened by P.G. Tsybulskiy, General Director of Gazprom VNIIGAZ.

“Today your primary goal is to ensure succession of scientific and technical activity for the sake of new achievements. I am sure that the Conference will help young specialists to feel the atmosphere of genuine creativity, will be an additional impetus to scientific activity and stimulate the cooperation under innovative projects”, said Mr. Tsybulskiy.

The Conference participants were welcomed by E.B. Kasyan, Head of HR Department of Gazprom.

“To implement prospective projects of Gazprom, it is strategically important to ensure the inflow of young qualified and competent scientists and engineers. I am sure that scientific opinion exchange will result in further enhancement of efficiency of scientific and industrial activity of Gazprom’s companies and organizations”, said E.B. Kasyan in her welcoming letter.

The Conference comprises three areas: geology, development of gas fields and underground gas storage; gas transmission, processing and use; industrial and environmental safety, energy efficiency, risk analysis and economics.

At technical sessions the participants will present recent scientific studies and developments performed by young scientists and specialists. After closing of the Conference best reports will be awarded.

The Gazprom VNIIGAZ Conference will for the first time include the Round Table discussion on the topic “Relevant areas and prospects of development of Councils of young specialists at gas companies”. The Round Table will bring together active representatives of youth organizations.  

 At the Round Table young scientists and specialists will discuss key issues of the development of these Councils, exchange experience in successful implementation of own projects and events and consider issues of development and motivation of young specialists.
