Indian Ministry of Defence Visited Sevmash

The commission met Director General Nikolay Kalistratov, made some rounds around the ship, studied progress of works at the aircraft-carrier in detail. As Indian Vice Admiral says, considerable change has become noticeable since his last inspection of the ship in May.
Mr. Kumar is also contented with structural change in the aircraft-carrier aspect on the whole. The superstructure is in a good condition. Tests of the aircraft-carrier restraining gear along with the aircraft MiG-29K model passed. The results are satisfactory. "This is a good sign for the whole air facilities complex. We are also pleased with work progress at different elements of the ship air-technical equipment, including arresting gear", affirmed the vice-admiral. Mr.Kumar also said that there are some schedule gaps at several aircraft-carrier sections which are to be overcome. The review team discussed this and other questions with governing boards of JSC "United Shipbuilding Corporation", JSC "PO "Sevmash", FSUE "Rosoboronexport", JSC "Nevskoye Design Bureau", JSC "Research Institute "Electropribor" and other companies at the meeting.
