According to Alexander Lokshin such a long path of Vietnamese representatives of Balakovo NPP was not accidental: “We have visited not Russia’s largest nuclear power plant, but the best one. For many years Balakovo NPP has been the constant leader in the Best Russian NPP contest.”
During the visit the guests were interested in the details of NPP construction, project cost, public relations, operating life extension options, and personnel qualification, capacity and training. They were interested to know that future specialists of Busher NPP (Iran), Taiwan NPP (China) and Kundakulam NPP (India) had been trained in Balakovo NPP educational-training centre.
At the end of the meeting Mr. Hoang Trung Hai thanked Balakovo NPP authorities for the rendered reception. He noted the former USSR and Russia had helped Vietnam not only to obtain independence, but also to develop its industry and train specialists. That is why the Vietnamese Government has chosen Rosatom as a partner for Vietnam nuclear plant construction. “I believe that our long-standing friendship will help us to construct and operate the nuclear power plant.”
