OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2010.  Ufa hosted an extended meeting of the Training Council for Gazprom Personnel Skills Development held at the Gazprom transgaz Ufa premises. The meeting was dedicated to further developing the Continuous Corporate Vocational Training System of Gazprom, its subsidiary and affiliated companies.

Participating in the meeting were heads and experts of the Personnel Management Department, East-Oriented Projects Coordination Directorate, Gazprom’s educational institutions, human resources management services and training subdivisions of the Company’s subsidiary and affiliated companies, as well as representatives from a number of Ufa’s educational establishments.

The meeting participants considered the priorities of the Gazprom Human Resources Management Policy relevant to personnel training and development, the issues of providing the Company with skilled employees, arranging personnel training as part of Gazprom’s projects being implemented in Eastern Russia, as well as advanced staff training for participation in offshore petroleum fields pre-development. A focus was placed on financial resources planning for personnel training, as well as on the progress with the 2010–2013 Personnel Skills Development Program for Gazprom’s subsidiary companies.

As part of the meeting an award ceremony was held for the best vocational training system applied by Gazprom’s subsidiaries in 2009.

The meeting participants visited the Training Center at Gazprom transgaz Ufa and appreciated its up-to-date training equipment. For instance, the visitors got acquainted with full-scale training systems simulating a gas transmission system, as well as with the welders certification point considered one of the best in Gazprom.
