Russian Govt Allocated RUR 3.692 bln for Electric Power Industry
OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2010. Karelia will receive RUR 395.232 million, the Arkhangelsk Region - RUR 924.059 million, and the Murmansk Region - RUR 561.119 million for elimination of cross-subsidization in 2010.
The Russian Federation Government allocated RUR 3.692 billion from the state budget for elimination of interterritorial cross-subsidization in the electric power industry for 2010. The respective order No. 775 dated 29 September was signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Besides, the document approves the rules of granting subsidies by the regional budgets for elimination of cross-subsidization for the current year.
According to the document, provision of grants for elimination of cross-subsidization is extended till 2012 in the Arkhangelsk Region to avoid fast growth of electric power tariffs in the constituent entity. Kareliya will receive RUR 395.232 million, Yakutia - RUR 109.984 million, the Amur Region - RUR 722.813 million, the Arkhangelsk Region - RUR 924.059 million, the Murmansk Region - RUR 561.119 million, and the Chukot Autonomous District - RUR 978.734 million for elimination of cross-subsidization in 2010.
Meanwhile, the unappropriated reserve will be RUR 1.302 billion, the funds of which will be in part or in full provided to Karachaevo-Circassia and Dagestan as grants. According to the order, the RF Ministry of Power Industry and the Federal Tariffs Service are charged with preparing the respective orders in a two-month period from the date of the act becoming effective.
The Russian Federation allocated RUR 7.8 billion last year for elimination of interterritorial cross-subsidization in the electric power industry.
