OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2010. Moldcell made a good present to Moldova State University (MSU) on the occasion of the 64th anniversary launching the recreation and communication zone “Aici Moldcell”.

On October 5th, 2010, on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of Moldova State University, Moldcell management team headed by the General Manager, Mr. Chiril Gaburici, the Rector of Moldova State University (MSU), Mr. Gheorghe Ciocanu, professors, teachers and students of MSU officially opened the zone of recreation and communication „Aici Moldcell”.

This project is aimed at the creation and arrangement of special zones where clients of the operator, irregardless their tariff plan, benefit from the possibility to communicate in the network with 50% discount. This tariff is applied to all in-network calls, including those already with the discount. If the subscriber starts talking in Moldcell zone and moves out of the zone during the call, the discount is applied to the whole period of the call. The subscribers, identified by the system inside the Moldcell zone, will get notifications about available facilities.

“Aici Moldcell” in MSU is the fourth zone opened after the successful implementation of the project on the territory of the airport, the commercial center MallDova, and the Academy of Economic Studies on the occasion of the beginning of the school year.

“Aici Moldcell” zone is situated in the campus of MSU, thanks to the financial support of Moldcell the territory was renovated; there were installed new benches, a fountain and two big chess boards were placed in the middle of the yard, the length of one side of the board is 4,8 meters. The chess pieces are made of durable plastic and are about 85 cm tall. Thus, students will combine the useful with the pleasing; they will have a possibility to develop memory, logic, creativity, analytical skills, concentration, etc.

Members of the official delegation walked across the renovated territory, communicated with the students who had already managed to test the benefits offered by the operator: mobile talks with discount and navigation in Internet, then the Rector of MSU, Mr. Ciocanu, and the General Manager of Moldcell, Mr. Gaburici, gave a start to chess competitions and initiated the first game of chess. At the end of the opening ceremony, the delegation visited the museum of Moldova State University.

Moldcell General Manager, Mr. Chiril Gaburici: „ Frequently visiting the universities of the country and launching many projects, including „Laboratory of mobile communication”, „Moldcell Scholarship”, „Your future starts today”, I noticed there were no recreation zones in our universities where students and teachers could communicate any time the need arose. The zone „Aici Moldcell” in Moldova State University is different from others because it has this yard as the area for recreation and communication in comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. It is necessary to mention that this university is the second institution of higher education in the country that can benefit from the special tariff “Aici Moldcell”. The project will continue to cover other important universities of Moldova.”

Rector of Moldova State University, Mr. Gheorghe Ciocanu: “We highly appreciate the initiative of Moldcell to create this recreation and communication zone that is very useful for our university. We receive this valuable gift on the week when Moldova State University celebrates its 64th anniversary.”

Tens of students were present on the launching of „Aici Moldcell” zone to test the benefits of communication offered by Moldcell Company.
