OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2010. Since the beginning of September 2010 the Ukrainian media was flooded with negative and flagrantly incorrect information about the PJSC "BANK FORUM" Commerzbank Group. Less than in 20 days the number of publications and reprints exceeded one hundred. The main arguments of the materials were related with allegedly problematic financial condition of the bank, reported the press-centre of BANK FORUM.

Regarding this Yaroslav Kolesnik, Chairman of the PJSC "BANK FORUM" Commerzbank Group, at the press-conference said:

"Society has already given its assessment of what is happening. We are dealing with a planned provocation aimed against Bank Forum.

First and foremost I want to express our gratitude for understanding and support to our customers, partners and colleagues who have objectively assessed the situation.

Once again I declare that Bank Forum Commerzbank Group is a stable, reliable, financially sound organization. Our team has elaborated a clear strategy for further development, has significant experience and deep understanding of the market. Our shareholders are constantly giving us full support and are aware of everything happening in the bank. Thus, William Nuese, Head of the Supervisory Board, permanently resides in Kyiv and takes active part in decision-making on all key issues.

Even during the crisis of 2008 Bank Forum Commerzbank Group had a stable position and adequate margin of safety to always fully comply with all bank’s obligations. Today, when we have even greater level of strength, attempts to destabilize Bank Forum Commerzbank Group all the more futile and hopeless.

I'm sure law-enforcement authorities will give an objective assessment of the current situation around our bank, especially considering that the events take place before the elections.

We do not know the ultimate goals of this campaign organizers. However, we are already taking severe actions against editions that disseminate flagrantly false information about Bank Forum. Up to date first 7 cases to court are produced. I want to remind that the dissemination of such information is punishable by Ukrainian legislation and is criminally liable".
