OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2010. A follow-up production meeting on the construction of the Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex TANECO was held in Nizhnekamsk with participation of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Before the start of the meeting, the President accompanied by SH.F. Takhaudinov, General Director of JSC Tatneft, went to see around the complex of units of CDU VDU, familiarized with the progress of hydro cracking unit which is a step of the deep conversion plant and visited the off-sites and secondary facilities.

During the meeting the builders reported of the completion, as it was envisaged in the schedule, of the construction and installation works of the first stage of TANECO and its handover for the integrated testing of the equipment. It has been highlighted that this was reached only due to professional and well coordinated work of such companies as Tatneft, RDI VNIPIneft as General Designer, OOO NeftegasEngineering of the Managing Company KamaGlavStroy as General Contractor, and its subcontractor organizations.

To date 9200 people are engaged at the Complex Site, 800 units of construction machines are operated. Total financing amount for the project to date makes nearly 170 billion rubles (VAT included).

In May 2010 plant river water was received to the off-site network of the Complex. Concurrently design voltage was supplied which facilitated the start of the pre-commissioning works. In August a number of I-st stage facilities were commissioned with participation of the President of the RT, R.N.Minnikhanov, and namely: Compressor station at the nitrogen and compressed air production unit, the second cooling system of Water Unit No.1, also design voltage was supplied to the waste water treatment units of TANECO.

Action provision services for the start of operation of the 1st stage of TANECO are being performed at present. For this purpose over 1600 jobs have been created.
