OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2010. United election day took place in Russia on Oct. 10. 77 regions hosted 7900 elections of various levels- local parliaments, city halls, mayors, etc. Totally, one third of Russian citizens were involved in the process.

Russian election committee official told Pravda that this elections were distinguished by application of new technologies. He especially mentioned that GLONASS was used in the election sites to monitor transport with the bulletins and election protocols on-line.
