OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2010. Officers of the Department for Control over Chemical Industry and Agro-Industry of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) took part in a research-to-practice conference “Gas and Petrochemicals in Russia: Strategic Objectives and Principles of Development” organized as part of an international exhibition – “The International Chemical Assembly - ICA-2010”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The conference discussed issues of developing gas and petrochemicals sector in Russia until 2030. Considerable attention was paid to innovative development of this sector in view of foreign and Russian experience of creating industry-and-research clusters.

Participants exchanged opinions and practical experiences in the field of oil and gas refining, pressing issues of quality improvement and, as a consequence, competitive ability of Russian products in domestic and external markets.

Overall the conference was very well organized, enabling its participants to discuss the most important issues of developing gas and petrochemicals sectors and elaborate competent position of the Antimonopoly Service on these topical problems.
