KhSC is ranked as 176 in the overall list of businesses.  The compane’s volume of sales amounted to 28.895 billion rubles last year.  And this number does not take into account two companies in which KhSC owns the blocking stock: the Proton PM Public Company and the Khimavtomatika Design Bureau (KBKhA).

KhSC has demonstrated a sustainable growth of sales from 16.739 billion rubles in 2006 to 22.367 billion rubles in 2007 to 22.879 billion rubles in 2008.

And the sales volume has grown three-fold if compared with 2005.

Commenting the results of rating evaluation Mr. Vladimir Nesterov, KhSC general director says: “A positive trend can be seen in all major KhSC business indicators over the last five years.  We have raised significantly the quality of products and services and we ensure a stable basis for further growth of production and sales volumes.

We manufactured 25 space-related products of various kinds (launch vehicles, upper stages or spacecraft) in 2009 against 11 five years ago.  This means that a stable demand exists for our products and services.  And this demand comes not only from the government.  In fact, today we have deals with 45 foreign companies from 22 countries.  And whereas we got USD 198M from commercial contracts in 2005, this figure jumped to USD 584M in 2009.

The top rank among the Russian space-industry manufacturers assigned to our company demonstrates a high appreciation of the activities of the entire KhSC team in addition to testifying to the fact that what we have chosen the right strategy.  The basis of this approach is to build an integrated structure around KhSC.”

Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, a Federal State-run Unitary Enterprise, is the leading developer, designer and manufacturer of space-oriented hardware and the largest company in the Russian space industry.

KhSC incorporates a number of closely interrelated manufacturers of major space-oriented products or components thereof.  Four federal state-run unitary companies from the space industry were affiliated to KhSC in 2007.  These included the Voronezh Mechanical Plant, the Isaev Chemical Engineering Design Bureau, Dlina, and a Moscow Company for Building up Hardware Kits, and the Polyot Production Corporation.

Khrunichev acquired a control stock in the Proton PM Public Corporation in July 2008.

The company’s business and structure continued to be upgraded in 2009.  Dmitry Medvedev, President of the Russian Federation issued a decree in August 2009 instructing transfer under Khrunichev’s control of 100 percent of stock in the Khimavtomatika Design Bureau.
