OREANDA-NEWS. October 06, 2010. In Sept, KSTL regained the position of the Ukraine’s largest steelmaker, with the 10.8% mom growth. Azovstal output has grown 13.8% mom to take the second place. MMKI production has slipped 5.6%, making Illich Steelworks the third in Sept steel output. ALMK production has maintained stable after last month increase of 39%. DMKD is the growth leader for the second month, this time advancing 24.7% mom.

Millennium Capital: the news is NEUTRAL for steel producers. Post-Ramadan steel market revival has happened, but on the lesser scale than steelmakers hoped. Ukrainian steel producers’ modest 5.5% mom output increase in Sept production indicates relatively weak buyers’ activity after the holy month.
