Vimpelcom conquers Africa and Europe. Vimpelcom Ltd. announces completion of the deal on acquisition of Weather Investments, which owns 51.7% Orascom Telecom, which conducts activity in Africa, Asia and Canada, and also 100% of Wind Telecomunicazioni, which in its turn is operating in Italy and Greece. The company will be paid for by the shares of Vimpelcom Ltd of the additional emission in the amount of 325.6 mn items, and also cash in the volume of 1.8 bn USD. The company is being bought back from Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris.
