Russian Airlines Increases Air Passenger Traffic by 28.1% in 8M 2010
OREANDA-NEWS. October 05, 2010. In 8M2010, Russian airlines services 37.9 mn passengers, up 28.1% y-o-y, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) reported. Traffic on international routes surged to 18.5 mn passengers in the reporting period; that on domestic routes increased to 19.4 mn people.
Passenger load factor stood at 84.6% in 8M2010. The largest Russian airline, Aeroflot, transferred 7.5 mn passengers in 8M2010, up 31.7% from 6.7 mn in 8M2009. Transaero boosted passenger traffic to 4.3 mn people, Siberia transferred 3.2 mn, and UTair flew 3 mn passengers.
