OREANDA-NEWS. October 04, 2010. For the purpose of actualization of macroeconomic index figures of the Republic of Belarus, for continuation of the work on preparation of the International (Regional) Economic Memorandum and for starting preparation of a new series of Loans for development, a group of experts from the World Bank visited the Republic of Belarus.

Attraction of direct foreign investments and FEZ was one of the themes within the frames of the visit, to which the separate attention were paid. Experts of the bank studied the results of FEZ activities in Belarus with the purpose of carrying out the analysis and granting of corresponding program recommendations.

During the visit the delegation headed by Martin Raiser, director of the department of Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova, regions of Europe and the Central Asia of the World Bank got acquainted with "Brest" FEZ activity. After meeting with administration of the Brest region the experts from the bank visited investment area "Western" in the airport site, passed on the zone territory "Кozlovichi", visited production areas of the enterprise-residents: LLC "BelINECO" and JV "Santa Bremor" LLC.
