OREANDA-NEWS. October 04, 2010. As it was informed in the press service of Moldova’s government, the arrangement has been reached in the course of the meeting of Prime Minister of Moldova Vladimir Filat and the head of Transdniestria Igor Smirnov, held in Tiraspol within a visit of football match Sheriff (Tiraspol) – Dinamo (Kiev) in the League Europe.

As it was noted, the problem solving is based on technical cooperation, started few months ago by the heads of telecommunication companies of Chisinau and Tiraspol. Vladimir Filat and Igor Smirnov have also discussed the launching of a passenger train Chisinau-Odessa through the territory of Transdniestria from October 1, the creation of comfortable conditions for passengers, awaiting the resumption of movement for 4 years.

In tote they noted the necessity to increase the efficiency of measures on strengthening of trust between Chisinau and Tiraspol, aimed at solving of concrete problems that touch upon the peoples’ life on both banks of the Dniester River. The fixed telephony between Moldova and Transdniestrian region was blocked in 2003.

Tiraspol announced that the company Moldtelecom restricted the automatic telephone communication unilaterally between the public networks of Moldova and Transdniestria. The company Interdnestrcom repeatedly addressed to Moldtelecom and asked to explain the situation but didn’t receive any answer.

As an adequate measure Interdnestrcom decided to limit the incoming calls from Moldtelecom network. Subsequently, the mobile communication between Chisinau and Tiraspol was also blocked because both sides started to block the work of mobile networks of each other by means of signal damping.
