OREANDA-NEWS. October 04, 2010. President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych suggested Poland taking part in modernization of the Ukrainian gas-transport system.

“I put forth a proposal to President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski and invited him to consider a project of modernization of the Ukrainian gas-transport system and potential role of Poland in this project,” the Head of Ukrainian state said during a joint press conference with his Polish colleague after the meeting.

Viktor Yanukovych said that it would give Poland a chance to approach and run the Ukrainian gas-transport system.

The Head of state reiterated that Ukraine is a reliable gas transit country: “Ukraine signs agreements on gas transit and executes them,” Viktor Yanukovych said.
