OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2010. Belarus plans to import 20,000-30,000 tonnes of wheat with high gluten content, Deputy Agriculture Minister Vasily Sedin told a news conference.

“We plan to buy 20,000-30,000 tonnes of wheat with high gluten content to produce pasta,” Sedin said.

According to him, suppliers will be identified as a result of tenders.

Belarus is capable of exporting up to 50,000 tonnes of wheat flour, up to 100,000 of rye flour, up to 15,000 tonnes of pot barley and 7,000-8,000 tonnes of porridge oat in 2010.
