OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2010. Lithuanian Culture Week took place in L'viv. The exhibitions of pictures of Lithuanian artists, demonstrations of modern Lithuanian short video films, photo and iconography exhibitions took place within the framework of the Week programme. In particular, the exhibition of facsimile of works of prominent Lithuanian artist and composer Mikalojus Ciurlionis took place. Visitors could also listen to Ciurlionis' symphonies "The Sea" and "In the Forest". Lithuanian artist Eimantas Ludavicius presented to L'vivites the project of reconstruction of the first opera theater built in Vilnius at the beginning of the 17 century, and also videotape recording of Baroque opera "The Abduction of Helen", which was reconstituted by Lithuanian artists on the basis of libretto published in 1636. One of the Week curiosities was Lithuanian kitchen feast and performance of the folklore band of L'viv Lithuanian society.

Lithuanian Culture Week was organized by The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine and Honorary consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in L'viv. ОККО filling complexes network supported the realization of this cultural event.
