OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2010. From now onwards passengers of the Baku underground can pay for services of the underground by means of a mobile phone.

Azercell Telecom company informed, in order to connect to the service,  subscribers should send short SMSs to numbers 9905, 9903, 9901 and to have an opportunity to accomplish accordingly 5.3 and 1 trip via the underground. At that, price for call to  number 9901 makes 99 contours, to 9903 – 295 contours, to 9905 – 490 contours.

The service can be used by subscribers, whose mobile phones are supported  by  WAP/WEB internet protocol.

The service can used at station “Elmlyar Akademiyasi”,  where two  special turnstiles are installed to receive  payment by means of mobile phone at present.

It  was informed before, the  service is being introduced by  content provider Azercell by Mobiskay company.

In   experts’ opinion, the  service will make travel  via  underground somewhat more expensively than if a passenger uses a travel card, but its plus is that there is no necessity to waste time over loading travel card as passenger fare is withdrawn from subscriber’s balance.
