OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2010. In response to the changes on the world petroleum product market, from October 1, the oil refining company ORLEN Lietuva reduces the wholesale prices for fuels by one per cent, or 18 Litas / 1000 liters, in average.

According to Ireneusz F№fara, General Director of ORLEN Lietuva, the Company, while following the best business practice and strengthening its position on the petroleum market, takes into consideration the consumer needs and competitive conditions, is flexible in response to the world market trends, and also optimizes its business – implements modern management systems and reduces operating costs; therefore, the Company is able to offer its customers more favorable prices for fuels.

“We are committed to our customers to supplying the highest quality products and services at competitive prices. We clearly understand the public concern about the fuel prices; therefore, we will continue monitoring the situation on the market and, in case of appropriate circumstances, we will seek for possibilities of adjusting the prices,” said I. F№fara.

The average petroleum product price is based on the world petroleum product prices and USD exchange rate. On October 1, the average petroleum product price and the USD exchange rate increased. The Company’s reduced wholesale price compensated the fuel price increase.
