OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2010. In accordance with Rules of Evaluation of Financial Instruments, contained in Investment Portfolios of the Pension Accumulative Funds (Rules) approved by Resolution of the Board of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations of March 26, 2005 # 109, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) has defined the fair value of illiquid debt securities of organizations - residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan listed on KASE, reported the press-centre of KASE.

The fair value has been defined as of September 27, 2010 and published on KASE's web-site in the section "Market valuation" at http://www.kase.kz/en/marketvaluation

We remind that illiquid debt securities are defined by the Rules as securities, whose market price cannot be calculated in accordance with KASE's internal document "Methodology of Securities Valuation" due to absence of parameters for such valuation.

The text of Rules and the text of changes and amendments thereto (Resolution of FSA Board of July 15, 2010 # 105) are published on KASE web-site at http://www.kase.kz/ru/page/normative_base#section-2 in Russian only.                 

We also remind that files with data on the market valuation of shares and debt securities conducted by KASE, are published weekly by the Exchange in section "Market valuation" at http://www.kase.kz/en/marketvaluation. In the same section, starting from September 28, 2010 KASE will publish on a weekly basis files with data on the fair value of illiquid debt securities issued by  organizations - residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan and included into KASE official list.

KASE draws attention of mass-media's representatives to the fact that data on the fair value of illiquid debt securities are published by the Exchange with purposes which are defined by the above-mentioned normative legal act. KASE does not recommend the mass-media to draw from this publication any conclusions on the liquidity level of debt securities on Kazakhstan stock  market.
