Ukrainian Prime Minister Met with Polish President
OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2010. Bronislaw Komorowski has expressed his satisfaction with the official visit to Poland of the Ukrainian Prime Minister and with the fact, as he knows, of the fruitful talks with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.
The Polish President has also thanked for organizing the mourning events in Kharkiv and communication with Mykola Azarov during the visit.
Mykola Azarov said that he was very pleased with the intensification of relations between Ukraine and Poland, the intensification of contacts between the leaders of the nations. He also informed the President of Poland, that he discussed with the Head of the Polish Government the issue of Donald Tusk's visit to Ukraine in December. "We discussed fruitfully a wide range of bilateral issues and agreed on an operational and very close contact, especially, between the Heads of the Governments directly. I am deeply touched by the attitude of Mr. Prime Minister to Ukraine, also I like very much the style of communication and work. So, I am quite optimistic and ready to cooperate", he said.
Mykola Azarov informed the President of Poland that the parties began a substantive dialogue on a new phase of preparation for Euro 2012, including the construction of new roads between Poland and Ukraine, a sufficient number of border crossings, the organization of joint border and customs posts and maximum facilitation of movement of fans across the border.
President Bronislaw Komorowski has, in return, stressed that the whole Ukrainian-Polish dialogue today is in the context of European integration aspirations of Ukraine. Poland certainly supports Ukraine towards European integration and will help to achieve a visa-free regime with the EU, the signing of a free trade agreement.
