Yanukovych Visits Construction Site of Donetsk Airport Terminal
OREANDA-NEWS. September 30, 2010. President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych visited the construction site of international airport terminal in the city of Donetsk.
The Head of state examined the construction site and looked through the airport and infrastructure development project.
Anatoliy Blyznyuk, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, assured the President that “the works are on schedule.” He also said that to date the runway area of a new terminal is 100% ready. The construction of runways will be over by October. All engineering constructions are ready.
The Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration reported to the President that the terminal will be commissioned in September 2011. He said the new terminal is expected to accommodate 2.5 thousand passengers per hour.
For the time being 269 thousand sq. m. is constructed out of gross area of the new runway of more than 450 thousand sq. m. (including 6 connecting runways and one main runway).
The total volume of financing earmarked in the current version of the State Target Program of Preparation for Euro 2012 on the runway construction amounts to 1592.4 million hryvnias, out of which over 1566 million hryvnias are the state budget funds, 26.3 million hryvnias are the local budget funds.
For the time being 23% of the approved schedule for construction and reconstruction of the air terminal is completed.
The total cost of this project, including the construction of a new terminal, overpass, parking and airport land site, in accordance with the current target program is 1399.2 million hryvnias (1136.8 million hryvnias from the state budget, 262.4 million hryvnias from the local budget).
