Poyry: Russian Investment Climate Is Getting Worse
OREANDA-NEWS. September 30, 2010. Russian investment climate is getting worse due to growth of raw timber prices and energy tariffs, Poyry’s consulter Alexei Beschastnov said at the workshop ‘Investment climate of Russian forest industry: hot or cold?’ organized by Lesnaya Industriya business journal.
Consumption of forest products is focused in Central Russia, especially in Moscow, which restrains investments into such regions as Siberia and Far East, he said.
Along with that, in 2011 growth of wood-based panels consumption is expected to the levels of 2007-2008. ‘Many enterprises have already reached full load of their capacities’, Beschastnov said.
