OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2010. The Ukrainian government has approved the privatization of Ukrtelecom, the largest land line operator in Ukraine, after the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine passed an edict to this effect  on Sep 27. Under this edict, the government stake in the amount of  92.8% is to be sold through an auction.

Millennium Capital: the news is positive for UTLM. At long last, the government’s privatization plans have been brought into life on the official level. Although the auction has not been scheduled yet, we expect, however, that it will take place sometime in 4Q2010-1Q2011.
