OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2010. An agreement in the area of information and communication technologies is to be signed in the course of an upcoming trip of Azerbaijani communications minister Ali Abbasov to Cuba.

The Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan informs that on 8-9 October of the year an Azerbaijani delegation led by Ali Abbasov will to pay a visit to Havana.

The delegation will compose representatives of local IT-companies.

Within the visit to take place at the invitation of minister of information and communications Ramiro Valdes Menendez of Cuba the sides will hold a series of bilateral meetings following which the two countries will sign an agreement on co-operation in the area of information and communication technologies.

Simultaneously Havana will host Cuban-Azerbaijani business forum on telecommunications and informatics. Besides, the Cuban University of Information Science will organize ceremony of opening of computer room donated to the educational institution by Azerbaijani computer manufacturers.
