Alla Saltykova Appointed Head of PwC in Kazan
OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2010. Audit Director Alla Saltykova has been appointed Resident Director of PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Kazan. Her main goal will be the development of the PwC practice in Tatarstan, including assurance, advisory, tax and legal services, reported the press-centre of PwC.
Alla graduated from the Moscow State Linguistic University (formerly known as the Maurice Thorez Moscow State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages) in 1992. She holds MBAs from California State University and the Russian Government Academy of National Economy. She has also earned a Statutory Audit License and CPA qualification.
After graduating from university, Alla worked as translator for various international firms. In 1994, she joined Price Waterhouse as a translator and, during her employment with PricewaterhouseCoopers; Alla progressed from translator to EU&M Assurance Director. This year, Alla was appointed Resident Director of PwC in Kazan.
Alla has extensive experience in rendering audit services on RAR accounts and IFRS financial statements. Her clients include major EU&M companies. For a number of years, she worked in PwC Russia’s Global Accounting Consulting Services Department, specialising in acquisitions. She was also seconded to the Global Accounting Consulting Services Group at PwC London, where she focused on IFRS application.
Alla was among the key managers of the project to assist the Russian Ministry of Finance in converging RAR with IFRS as part of a special EU programme.
Alla Saltykova is one of the best IFRS tutors that PwC has in Eastern Europe and is the author of numerous IFRS and RAR publications.
Alla became a member of the National Council for Financial Reporting this year.
