OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2010. The country gathered the sufficient harvest of cereals and sugar beet to meet the needs of the population. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this opening the meeting of the Government.

"I want to reiterate that there is no ground for agitation in Ukraine", emphasised Mykola Azarov.
The Prime Minister has said that today, more than 84% of grain and leguminous plants, including corn, are harvested, the harvest is about 39 million tons of grain, and nearly 3 million tons of grain were exported.

According to the Head of the Government, we have absolutely stable situation on the sugar market, as this year's sugar beet was sown over 500 hectares and the expected sugar production exceeds 2 million tons. There are still the carry-over and manufacturers stocks. "When consumption of population is 1.8 million tons, there is simply can be no problems with sugar in Ukraine", emphasised Mykola Azarov.

Moreover, the Prime Minister has pointed out that the weather conditions are conducive to active planting. Thanks to the efforts of the Government the crop campaign is carried out according to the schedule, and 3.6 million hectares are already sown, representing 63% of the predicted areas. According to Mykola Azarov, we have no problems with providing planting material with material and technical resources, so there is every reason to expect good winter crops.
