OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2010. Investigating the antimonopoly cases against nine bakery plants in Moscow, the Moscow Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) discovered that their contracts with retail chains had signs of violations of antimonopoly requirements of the Federal Law “On the Basic Principles” of State Regulation of Trading Activities in the Russian Federation”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Moscow OFAS Russia suspected that bakery plants were engaged in concerted actions that resulted in increasing prices at the beginning of August 2010.

Currently Moscow OFAS Russia has initiated a case against “ATAK” Ltd. and “ASHAN” Ltd., which trade food products through organization of retail chains.

Contracts between “ATAK” Ltd. and “ASHAN” Ltd. with Moscow bakery plants contain discriminatory conditions with regard to the plants.

Such contract conditions could have resulted in additional unjustified expenses of producers of food product and, therefore, increase the products costs.
