China’s Energy Sector Undergoes Restructuring

IDGC of North-West has held a working meeting of the company's management with the representatives of the state electric grid company of China - State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC).
IDGC of North-West's general director Alexander Kukhmay has provided a presentation about the company, about the operations zone in detail, has told about the features of tariff establishment in the IDGC territory, and about the plans as regards adoption of the RAB regulation.
Fan Chzhu, deputy director of SGCC, has found the information rather useful and has asked several questions. In particular, he has said that China faces the problem of non-payment by consumers and emphasized how much relevant it is for Russian colleagues. Alexander Kukhmay has said that similar situations happen in our country, when sales companies do not pay in time. "We get into law governed arguments with them," he has said.
Besides, Chinese colleagues have been interested in expediency of separation of grids and selling, spin-off of repair companies, presence of contradictions between generation and grids, principle of choice of contractor, efficiency of labour in IDGC of North-West, the number of the personnel of which exceeds 15 thousand people.
This is not the first visit of Chinese energy specialists to IDGC of North-West. One year ago sharp, in September 2009, top managers of IDGC of North-West met with representatives of the State Grid Corporation of China.
