OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2010. On September 13, 2010 within the limits of the official visit to Ukraine, a delegation of PRC headed by Mr. Wang Yiang, a member of Political Bureau of Central Committee of Communist Party of China, a secretary of Committee of CPC of Kwangtung province, visited “Antonov” company.

High guests visited flight test base of “Antonov” company, examined AN-225, the biggest transport in the world and AN-158 regional jet of a new generation which is under certification tests at present. They have also familiarized with the programmes of modernization and tests of AN-70 medium military transport, operation and serial production of AN-148 regional jet, development of new aircraft of AN-148/AN-158 family. Main attention was paid to technologies developed at the enterprise and used when designing new “Antonov” airplane as well as in the joint Ukrainian-Chinese projects.

Within the held negotiations Mr. Wang Yiang expressed satisfaction with interaction with “Antonov” company on the number of programmes including designing ARJ-21 regional jet, modernization of Y8 transport. Among perspective directions of cooperation are the joint development of new airplanes and operational support of AN-12, AN-24, AN-26, AN-30 airplanes in PRC. In particular, leader of Chinese delegation said: “Today’s visit was very important for us in order to receive information on “Antonov” modern programmes. We appreciate organized cooperation with Ukraine in the field of airplane building and plan to develop it in future”.
