OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2010. The Government plans to raise public-sector wages. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this opening the meeting. "We will consider a draft order, which will be another step to equalize imbalances in public-sector wages", the Head of the Government said.

Mykola Azarov noted that the document provided a larger size of employee base salary of I wage category on Unified Tariff Scale. Thus, according to the Prime Minister, wages will be raised to all public-sector employees.

"We will continue to work with trade unions and employers to eliminate completely disparity in wages as soon as possible", summed up the Prime Minister.
