UTair Growth Dramatically Surpasses Industry Average

The airline's passenger turnover in comparison with the previous year has also grown 46.6% and reached 5,367,514.6 passenger kilometers. By comparison, passenger turnover for the entire domestic industry has grown only 31.7%. The seat load factor on the carrier’s flights grew 6.5 points and constituted 78.2%. UTair aircraft carried 7,651 tons of cargo, an impressive 30% more than for the same period in the previous year. The UTair air cargo fleet transported 2,315.4 tons of mail, two times more than for the same period in the previous year.
UTair’s rotary wing aircraft have demonstrated growth in operational performance as well. During the first 8 months of 2010, UTair helicopters logged 58,514 flight hours, 20% more than for the same period in 2009. During the reporting period the carrier’s helicopters transported 40,127 tons of cargo, 15.1% more than in January-August 2009. UTair helicopters also transported 280,772 passengers, 28% more that for the same period in the previous year.

According to the UTair operational forecast for 2010, the airline's planes and helicopters will have logged a total of 300,000 flight hours. More than 100 fixed wing aircraft and 200 helicopters of various types and classes are involved in realizing airline operations.
